So far, we have raised over $4000 for “Ronald McDonald House North Australia” to help families with sick children. PLUS all profits from book sales will also be donated!
ABOUT THE RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE NORTH AUSTRALIA
Ronald McDonald House Charities North Australia is an independent, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to providing vital programs for families with seriously ill children.
Their state-of-the-art Ronald McDonald House is located adjacent to Townsville Hospital offering a safe place for North Queensland families to stay when life gets turned upside down due to a child’s illness.
Programs are run by a tirelessly hard-working team of staff and volunteers, aided by the generous support of our donors, sponsors, corporate partners and the local community.

Kids of Cairns is a new photography charity book project run by By Heart Photography (one of Cairns most experienced family photography studios). So far we’ve raised over $4000 for families with seriously ill children!
ALL Book profits will be donated in full to a local charity: Ronald McDonald House, North Australia
This book is an amazing opportunity to have beautiful, fun and creative portraits of your child/children that celebrate their personality, interests and uniqueness.
This will be an important piece of social history about being a child growing up in Cairns in 2025!

RMH is dedicated to supporting Cairns families by providing crucial assistance when they need it most. When a child's illness requires intensive hospital care in Townsville, RMH offers comfortable accommodation and practical care programs to ensure that these families can stay together during such challenging times. The opportunity to be photographed by an award-winning photography studio. Your child featured in the upcoming Coffee Table Book “Kids of Cairns” PLUS you will receive a $150 voucher to put towards our print and digital collections!
Absolutely! Everyone is welcome. We highly recommend you bring all your family along to the session.!
Absolutely! After your session, you will be invited back to the studio to view the images to choose only what you love.
And to say thank you from us, we are also giving you $150 credit to put towards your order
Every child who is selected to be photographed will be included in the Kids of Cairns, Coffee Table Book. To keep the design consistent and balanced, we will choose the image. You must be willing to give us permission to display photographs of your children & their first name (nothing identifying). If you have any concerns over this then of course we are happy to discuss this with you. If you’d like to support the project but not have your childrens photographs included, then we can do this and list your name as a supporter instead.
We hope to have the Book printed by May 2025, but it really depends how quickly we fill the spaces and complete the sessions. We will keep every family who participates in the loop and let you know when we are ready to publish!
While you’re welcome to be in the photos, there’s no pressure to be at all! But hopefully we’ll make you feel relaxed and comfortable enough to give it a go. There’s no awkward posing and no rules. We’ll help you feel comfortable, get the laughs happening and make sure you have a relaxed and fun time. We promise you’ll enjoy it!
